Welcome to 2F's blog page! This year will be a true experimentation with blogging. I will seek to communicate with you classroom occurences throughout the year. My hope is that this will allow you to have a more in depth look at what our school day looks like and what your children are learning. I will also attempt to keep you abreast of important classroom activities. I am very excited to be learning something new and to be giving you a peek into our classroom.

Sequencing Project

In reading, we began our first story Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? by Bill Martin which focuses on the reading strategy of sequencing. Ask your child if they know what the word sequencing means. Students worked in groups to sequence other stories by Bill Martin (Polar Bear, Polar Bear, Baby Bear, Baby Bear and Panda Bear, Panda Bear) and will present them on Tuesday. This practice in sequencing will provide a great base for our first story from our reading textbook next week - The Mixed Up Chameleon by Eric Carle.
